Boom Boom Bah Shrimp!
Gotta get that boom boom bah shrimp! These have been out for awhile but haven’t gotten to try them till now. Heard mixed things– from loving them to too much breading, great sauce to terrible. Back and forth seems to be the case on this one! Was a little hesitant due to that but finally took the dive. They just seem so versatile and worth giving a chance!
Nutrition
High high high, but they are fried shrimp. If you ate the whole box you’d be over the recommended amount of fat/cholesterol/sodium for the day 🙁 Oddly enough carbs are pretty low for friend shrimp–didn’t think that’d be the case! I counted them out and there’s around 24 in a box, so 6 per serving. Doesn’t sound like much but they are pretty big shrimp. You could make two shrimp tacos, a full bowl, or have a nice app with that amount.
From frozen……
Packaging was different on this one! They come in this cute box that opens up! was fun at first but then a little annoying, would have preferred just a bag. It almost forces you to make it all at once, you’d have to save the box for instructions and its pretty clunky. You can oven, deep fry, or air fry–I went with air fry. Heat at 400 for around 5-6 minuets, flip, and another 5-6. For the sauce just pour and heat on the stove top, once ready your all set! Very simple to cook but the real question is how do they taste?
to party ready!
Perfect party app! Even for a party of two or cute date night. The shrimp were great! Was a little worried there would be too much breading from the picture, but they were perfect. Crispy, tasty, and a good size shrimp inside! The sauce however might be one of my least favorite things from TD so far 🙁 Its so oily and just not good, the flavor could have been ok maybe if its wasn’t so greasy. You can easily not eat it and make your own so its not the end of the world, but full review means it’s a part of it. 8/10 since the shrimp are great! But save yourself and skip the sauce.
