Breakfast Pizza on Naan-tastic Bread
Pizza in the morning, pizza in the evening, pizza at supper time! Doesn’t need to be on a bagel, can be on naan bread too to spicy things up 🙂 Love naan bread, love pizza, and love to play around<3 Trader Joe’s has amazing frozen naan bread making it readily available. This is a super easy fun breakfast idea when you want something a little different. It adds some fun flavors and switches up the usual, while using simple ingredients. feel free to play around with toppings and make it your own too!
What do you use?
Depends on your likes! I chose garlic naan for that extra pop and recommend it, two eggs, and simple marinara sauce. Went extra fun with the cheese, the new bacon cheddar was screaming to be added to a breakfast pizza! Its a really rich cheese and a little goes a long way, perfect for breakfast pizza. You can add bacon, sausage, pretty much any pizza topping or breakfast side dish to this. The cheese has actual pieces of bacon so used just that to fun this one up. Also topped with a little mozzarella for that classics pizza taste.
Simple steps, big flavor
Start it off by lining a pan with parchment paper and placing the frozen naan bread down. no need to defrost and these are good to go straight from the freezer! Add some sauce and spread it around with the back of your spoon, coving the bread to your liking. Add the mozzarella cheese, and grate that amazing bacon cheddar on top<3 Its slightly yellow in color but packs a huge punch of flavor! Very rich so I went sparingly, a little goes a long way. Now on to the tricky part of this……..
Crack goes the eggs!
This can get messy! The beauty of naan bread is the imperfections, it has a bubbly surface and bumpy texture. Which makes cracking an egg on top……a little tricky! They sometimes slide right off–and thats ok! Use your spoon to push it back up and try to find the right spot for it. If one keeps sliding like mine did, push it up against the side of your pan. The egg will cook on top and pretty much make an egg crust at the part. Will come out amazing and look pretty still, just on the pan gets a little crazy. Embrace the chaos and get those eggs going! Now your just going to put in a preheated oven (400 degrees) and cook for 15-20 minuets, till the egg is to your liking. Can be soft and gooey or cooked thru–up to you. Enjoy your fun breakfast!
