Introducing the Burrata BLT Burger!

Introducing the Burrata BLT Burger!

Trader Joe’s burger contest is underway! The #TJsBurgerContest is here and their looking for a 7 ingredient burger that makes your mouth water. So many great burgers out there, and so many ingredient options at Trader Joe’s–it was hard to narrow it down! Wanted a burger with solid taste, but a unique twist. Adore Trader Joe’s burrata and knew it had to be the cheese! Also current am obsessed with the garlic spread dip, it turns anything into a prefect garlic bread in one swipe. Husband had a BLT one day and it all just clicked <3

All you need and toppings prepped!

On the left are your seven beautiful ingredients, burrata, garlic spread sip, buns, vine tomatoes, arugula, prosciutto, and of course the burger. To make the BLT more fun decided to go with prosciutto crisped up like bacon, arugula for the lettuce, and a big juice tomato. On the right is everything waiting to be layered on<3 The prosciutto looks and tastes so good pan fried! Really adds a crunch! It does smoke up the house a bit so feel free to bake it in the oven if your alarms are sensitive. Everything else is sliced and prepped to go!

Get your toppings on!

Look at that yum! Left shows both sides of the bun coated in the amazing garlic spread dip, juicy burger on it, crispy prosciutto on top, and a pretty tomato. Right we add that cheese! I broke a ball in half, scooped out the creamy inside and closed it on first, then topped with the outer shell. Top with some arugula and you are ready go to! Something I loved and didn’t expect was how well these burgers held up over time. Excited for the contest and wanted to do my best, lots and lots of pictures were taken. An hour later the buns and prosciutto were still crispy! The way its layered keeps the creamy burrata secured and the rest not mushy at all!

Ingredients make a great side salad too!

You read that right! Arugula, tomato, crumbled prosciutto, and some burrata make an amazing salad too! For the dressing I just used the freebies of oil/salt/pepper–nothing special but keeps the salad light and refreshing. This burger really tastes so good! The flavors meld perfectly, it has the soft creamy cheese but the crispy saltiness of the prosciutto! The garlic spread dip is light but adds the perfect flavor, TJ’s burgers are amazing and ready to, Buns perfect fit, and arugula/tomato you cant go wrong with! It also only takes around 20 minuets to prep, super easy and such a great burger. Simple but with an artisanal feel. Hope you love it and would be beyond honored to win. Hope I did Trader Joe’s proud with this one<3

Equipment

  • 1 Pan
  • 1 Grill ** Can pan cook your burgers if you want instead

Ingredients

  • 1 Container Trader Joe's Burrata
  • 1 Container Trader Joe's Garlic spread dip
  • 1/8 Bag Trader Joe's Arugula
  • 1 Trader Joe's on the vine tomato
  • 4 Slices Prosciutto
  • 4 Trader Joe's Hanburger buns
  • 4 Trader Joe's 80/20 Beef burgers
  • 1 tbsp Trader Joe's olive oil Freebie
  • Salt Freebie
  • Pepper Freebie

Instructions

  • Pan cook your prosciutto like you would bacon. Add a little oil to your pan over medium heat, place a slice of prosciutto, and cook till crispy (about 20 seconds each side).
  • Place crispy prosciutto on the side. Slice your tomato and have a bowl of arugula on the side ready to go
  • Pre-heat your grill and once ready toast the inside of your buns. Mine took around 2 minuets, once you start to see grill marks remove and place to the side/
  • Burger time! Salt and pepper both sides. Add them to the grill and cook to your liking. I'm a medium rare kind of gal and it took around 4 minuets on each side to get there.
  • Assembly time! Spread that amazing garlic spread dip on both sides of the bun. Place your burger on the bottom bun, top with a piece of crispy prosciutto, then tomato, then burrata, arugula, and finally the top bun
  • **For the burrata break a ball in half and scoop out the inside first. Place that on the burger, then the half of the outer shell on top. Helps keep the burger crispy and burrata creamy at the same time 🙂
  • Enjoy every bite!
