Kimbap, sold out for a reason!
Kimbap, sold out for a reason! When this first came out I wasn’t too excited, a frozen kimbap you microwave? Sounds weird and possible horrible lol. Also while I try to like tofu I’m not usually a fan, would love to be but it just rarely is something I’d choose over meat. The only reason I grabbed this was that it was new, and Korean. My husbands Korean, son is half, and always want to find ways to have both cultures part of his life. He’s a little young and doesn’t love the Asian marts yet, so finding Korean goodies outside of them is a blessing–I’ll take it and try it!
Microwave?!?!
These cooking instructions had me terrified! Being in the freezer is weird enough, and now you want me to nuke kimbap? Its like microwaving a sushi roll! Crispy in a pan sounded better, but wanted the full experience. Its sold out almost everywhere and people love it……being microwaved. Cant not try it that way! Nutrition is really good, its full of veggies, tofu, rice, and seaweed. A really healthy frozen meal option……but should it be frozen? Should it!
Oh My God
It should! 100% should! The shock when I saw how good these look and even more so with how amazing they taste! You open the sleeve after microwaving and see the cute little side of the rolls, 3 in each area for 12 total. When you pick them up and see how they look on the inside, my mind was blown! The colors pop and they look so fresh! Even the tofu doesn’t look like tofu at all–would think it was meat if I didn’t know better! The rolls held up amazing as well, not too soft and kept there shape. Was not expecting this at all coming from the microwave.
They taste A-mazing!
Cannot wait to get more! They taste so good! Have a nice crunch, tofu is insanely good, and everything comes together perfectly. If your craving sushi even and want a quick fix this will do it, and it can always be in your freezer! Makes sense why they sold out now, this is amazing. Also a lot healthier then many frozen foods, and just so fast , convenient, and cheap for what your getting! They also don’t really have a strong smell, sometimes kimbap does. Only noting since my toddler is not a fan of strong smells–he might give these a chance one day! 10/10, ransacking the store when they finally get these back!
