Olive Fougasse
The bread you’ve been missing
I love olive bread! Being Italian I grew up with it on special occasions, but most of the world doesn’t know about its awesomeness. So glad Trader Joe’s has a version, that’s its fire, and more people can try it! I was shocked to see it on the shelf and so excited to bring it home. For under four dollars you get an amazing bread to eat alone, with charcuterie, or make small sandwiches on. There’s 6 servings per loaf and 130 calories per serving–for this amount and flavor of bread that’s great!
Look how pretty that looks! Count even leave as is and decorate around and within in for a board, or cut it up to showcase the olive goodness. The bag says to heat for 3-4 minuets at 400 degrees, but since I only tried a piece just toasted it for 2-3. It was perfection! No need to butter, cream cheese, or any topping! The olives are baked in and add that salty goodness packing it with flavor. The bread itself taste like it’s from a bakery, were on day 2 and it still taste perfect as well. Once opened I placed it in a large zip lock bag to keep it as fresh as possible.
10/10!! Rare score to give but this is one of my favorite things so far. Look how pretty it looks cut<3 Can’t wait to use this on a board and a good chance we’ll eat the whole loaf by tomorrow. Perfect as a side with your salad, with breakfast, with anything! Truly love this bread and singing its praise to the roof tops!
