Spread it Out with Red Pepper
Sandwich snob here! I looooove a good sandwich, and the spread you use can change everything. I tend to love just oil and vinegar, or mustard and hot sauce–two spectrums lol. But this a beautiful medium that adds to your favorite without overpowering. Tried it as a sample at Trader Joes on one of their crackers and it was so good I had to buy. besides sandwiches its great for boards, nice topping to some crackers. Can even get fancy with some apps and use as a spread to hold other topping on as well.
What’s in it?
Red Pepper with eggplant and garlic spread, says a lot right there! Red pepper is definitely the star, but the eggplant texture it there. If your not a fan this might not be the spread for you–but if you are its perfect! Only 30 calories per serving which is great, some spreads can really get up there. Fat/carb/sugar are all low as well for the win! Sodium is pretty high but same with most spreads, why lemon juice/oil/vinegar is a go to sometimes. Overall this is a great spread, lighter then most, and pretty healthy for you.
Pretty pretty sandwich
It just adds to the look! The spread is a medium thickness, you can see it but the taste doesn’t overpower. It helps hold things together and definitely could be used for pre decorated crackers to keep toppings on, or crostini. Would be perfect for crostini’s! Just got myself excited 🙂 The flavor is light and fresh, tastes like red pepper but thick due to the eggplant. Great for summer and so glad I grabbed a jar after sampling. 8/10!
